The football (soccer) markets are as extensive as any of their rivals and as well as all the major leagues one would expect to be covered, they also allow customers to bet on a few that are lesser known, for example the Egyptian Premier League, the Australian A-League and the Indian I-League.

Based on our research, 888sport are not quite as competitive with their odds as some of their rivals. While they often match the best price in a particular market, they rarely go out on their own to offer the best industry price on an event.

888sport have a reasonable - if fairly convoluted - offer for new sports book customers of 50 GBP in free bets.

They will match your first bet of 10 GBP with a free bet of the same value, as long as you backed an event at odds of evens (2.00) or greater. Thereafter, you will receive a further 10 GBP free bet for every four 10 GBP (or above) bets you place, again at evens or greater.

For a company of the size and stature of 888sport's parent, you would expect 888sport's customer services operation to be faultless. Sadly, this is the one area where they are a slight let down. Not only do they offer no live chat, there is nowhere on the website that you can find their telephone number or even postal address. As such you have to send a message through a form on their site if you have any questions or disputes. Frustratingly, it can take up to 36 hours to receive a response. To be fair to them it only took two hours to receive a response, and they were happy to give the telephone number and email address, but these should be more accessible on the website itself.

On the plus side, when the response does arrive, the staff members are knowledgeable and helpful, though obviously not being about to speak to them directly can make for a very drawn out exchange if they don't answer all your queries the first time around.

Overall 888sport offer a genuinely decent experience for the online sports gambler. The number of markets is vast and the website itself is well designed and easy to navigate around.

As mentioned, the downsides are the lack of customer service options exhibited on the website and the scarcity of market-leading odds. Having said that, the regular and generous promotions and special offers do go some way to mitigating these factors and we would recommend 888sport to customers.
