Lil Rockerfeller will defend his Totepool National Spirit Hurdle crown at the end of next month but is to have a break before he is pushed towards picking up a second successive victory in the Grade Two event.
The six-year-old's efforts over the Christmas and the New Year period have led to King deciding to give him a break.
He was behind Unowhatimeanharry in the Long Walk at Ascot in December and then fourth in the Relkeel Hurdle at Cheltenham on New Year's Day.
Lil Rockerfeller was very disappointing on New Year's Day but he came home a very sick horse. He was not himself at all.
"He will have a break now and that was always the plan after New Year's Day so that is what he is currently doing. He is just out in the paddock enjoying himself.
"We will then try to go back to win the National Spirit again
