Background
Youwin is a brand name of WINunited Ltd, a company which was founded in 2005 and is registered and licensed in Malta. They formerly operated as WinUnited until changing their name in 2010. They offer sports betting and separate casino, poker and games products.
Youwin Odds and Markets
Youwin boast about their odds on their homepage and they are
certainly above average, tending to offer odds at the top end on
favourites in several sports. They tend to work to a payout ratio
of around 94%, compared with an average closer to 92%. This may not
sound like much but of course every little helps and they do
improve on these with several promotions. On in-play betting they
are not quite so generous but the same can be said of many
companies as they seek to avoid unnecessary risk.
In terms of markets, like many similar companies, the focus is on
the likes of the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A, although they
do also cover plenty of the lower divisions in the main countries.
They offered odds on 44 different national leagues when we checked
which is just about as good as anywhere. Whilst the range of
markets on each match is not as good as the top industry players,
Youwin do also offer plenty of other sports, meaning that all in
all there is something for everyone.
Youwin Bonus Offers and Free Bets
The primary sports book offer available to new customers is a
free bet of up to 25 EUR, which is a 100% match on your first bet
at odds of 1.50 or higher. The free bet is credited within 24 hours
and is valid on deposits between 10 and 25 EUR. To withdraw your
winnings you must bet your first stake and the bonus five times at
the same minimum odds.
There are also sign up bonuses available in the poker room (100%
up to 500 EUR) and the casino (100% up to 200 EUR). However, where
Youwin are really strong is their ongoing sports book offers. They
regularly offer enhanced multiples, with 15% bonuses added and have
enhanced odds every Friday on all Premier League, La Liga and
Bundesliga games. In addition, for big events or large football
matches, they will offer an additional promotion such as their El
Clasico special.
In-Play and Mobile Betting
The live console has improved in recent years but still lags
behind the top bookmakers. They cover a reasonable number of sports
and events, and, especially on football matches, offer a good range
of markets - 19 on a recent African international, for
example.
Upcoming events are listed by sport and then within each sport by
time and there is no danger of confusion about whether or not an
event is live. However, there is a lack of stats, scores and match
information, the method of placing a bet is slightly
counter-intuitive and the range of events is not as good as the
very best.
There is no mobile app at present, nor, clearly, a mobile-specific
bonus, although naturally the site can be viewed on most
mobiles.
Customer Service
Telephone: N/A
Email: info@youwin.com
Address: Level 1, Tower Rd, Sliema SLM 1600, Malta
Other contact methods: Live chat
Customer service is available 24/7 via email or their live chat.
This is a good start as constant service with instant availability
are the two most important things we feel. In tests we rarely had
to wait long for live chat and, whilst the responses were slow to
arrive (very slow on one occasion), the agents were always polite
and ultimately resolved the issue. You can email or print the
transcript of exchanges but sadly there is no telephone customer
service option at present.
Conclusion
Youwin are another decent choice that will appeal to a wide
range of punters. The website is not always as fast as it should be
and whilst it looks pleasing the functionality certainly requires
improvements to be made.
The range of sports, odds and ongoing bonuses are what lift Youwin
above other similar bookmakers. All are better than average and
although the opening offer is not the most generous going,
especially considering the wagering requirements, they are still a
company worth visiting.
Just as there are pros, so there are cons, and it is these that
prevent Youwin attaining a four star rating. The lack of a mobile
app, the slightly inferior in-play console, the somewhat slow chat
response and the overall working of the website need improving
before Youwin can be promoted up the bookmaking leagues!
